In the lead up to the NFL Draft, players traditionally undergo the Wonderlic Test. The NFL has now announced that they will be getting rid of the Wonderlic Test so that clubs can better evaluate their prospects.

It was always one of the most heavily mocked parts of the NFL Combine as the test did not have a clear link to anything the players can actually do on the pitch.

The scores did not always translate to a good career as many high scorers went on to have low-achieving careers, whilst some low scorers became great players.

The test was 50 questions that players have 12 minutes to answer. It is seen as an indication of intelligence and problem-solving.

The test scores are supposed to be confidential but they would leak out every year. Here are some of the highest-scoring quarterbacks with the average score for the test at 24.

Ryan Fitzpatrick, a veteran in the NFL, went to Harvard University to complete his collegiate career. The Washington Football Team quarterback earned on the SAT and he scored 48/50 on the mandatory Wonderlic intelligence test that was meant for incoming rookies entering the NFL.

Richard Sherman &#; Free Agent (Cornerback)

Richard Sherman, who professed himself to be the &#;best corner in the league&#;, went to Standford University and earned a 4.2 high school GPA. Aside from playing football, Sherman got his Bachelor&#;s Degree in Communication, and he scored his Master&#;s Degree in his last year of NCAA eligibility. Sherman founded a charity foundation that helps low-income families purchase school supplies to gain academic success.

Tom Brady &#; Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Quarterback)

His intelligence can also be used off the pitch, having graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor&#;s Degree in General Studies. Daniel Jones &#; New York Giants (Quarterback)

Daniel Jones, who is the famous quarterback in the New York Giants team, had already started a career as a college football player at Princeton University before attending Duke University to obtain his Bachelor&#;s Degree in Economics. While he was at Duke, he redshirted and played three successful seasons as a quarterback.

John Urschel (Retired)

John Urschel is now a former active NFL player, but he should still be included on this list. Urschel got a Master&#;s degree in Mathematics from Penn State, and he was noted to have taught many classes while going to Penn State including Analytic Geometry, Calculus, Trigonometry and many more. Aside from that, he is also a professional chess player. He was awarded the William V. Campbell Trophy, an academic version of the Heisman. Urschel only spent three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL before retiring so he could chase his PhD in Mathematics at MIT. He scored 43/50 in the Wonderlic Test for incoming NFL players.

Justin Herbert &#; Los Angeles Chargers (Quarterback)

Justin Herbert, who is one of the youngest NFL players, made this list as he graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor&#;s Degree in Biology. His intelligence saw him awarded the William V. Campbell Award in which is only handed to athletes who are performing great in athletics, academics and leadership.
