1.25" x .050" Polyester Strapping (1.25" x .040" has extended lead time)
The 1.25 inch by .050 inch polyester strapping has a minimum break strength of 3,800 lb, making it our most popular plastic banding. This is the HD strap that is replacing steel strapping! There are numerous benefits to using poly strapping, and many companies are transitioning from steel. The primary reason for this shift is the safety concerns associated with steel strapping. Sharp edges can pose significant risks to workers and anyone handling the strapping during delivery. In contrast, poly strapping has no sharp edges, which helps to eliminate the potential for injuries on the job site. Additionally, poly strapping offers excellent elongation and recovery properties. Expect to see this strap replace 1 ¼ inch steel strapping in various applications in the coming years. This is the strongest PET strap available in the USA.
Purchase poly strapping exclusively from allstrap.com. It is compatible with manual tools for quick ROI, pneumatic tools for high-capacity inline operation, and combination battery tools. The 1.25 inch x .050 inch polyester strapping is utilized across various industries including automotive supply chain, aluminum, lumber, steel processing, and paper and pulp. This product is available with AAR 82 printing and has been approved for railroad use. Are you new to poly strapping or considering a switch from steel? Advantages
Poly strapping not only mitigates safety risks, but the tools used for poly banding are also much easier, faster, and more affordable compared to steel tools. Battery and pneumatic tools can operate 30% to 50% faster than traditional steel and cord strapping tools. Using poly tools saves your operators time and effort while enhancing workflow. In terms of cost, plastic strapping is generally less expensive than steel. On average, it costs about half as much per foot as steel strapping and is up to 50% cheaper than cord strapping!
The new P331 is currently the best battery banding tool available for poly strapping. It accommodates ¾" to 1 ¼" poly strapping and functions as a combination tool that tensions, seals, and cuts. The P331 is lighter than its steel counterparts and features a new mechanism that holds the weld down, ensuring that the operator cannot remove the tool until the weld cools. This advancement guarantees that each weld is fully set, significantly reducing the chance of breakage during transit.
Fromm P331
The Fromm P359 tool is another recent addition designed for poly strapping. This pneumatic tool is powered by air and, like the P331, it can tension, seal, and cut. However, it is considerably heavier than the P331 and requires support for stationary banding. This tool is among the strongest in its class, capable of pulling over 1,500 pounds of tension, and designed to withstand constant use. It works with ¾" to 1 ¼" strapping, while its smaller counterpart, the P356, accommodates 5/8" to 3/4" poly.

Fromm P359
It's time for you to transition to 1 ¼" x .050" poly strapping. Now that tools have advanced to handle the 1.25" width of the PET strapping, including the pneumatic Fromm P359, the Signode battery-powered BXT3-32, and the Fromm battery-powered P331, transitioning is straightforward. You can easily justify the investment in these tools due to the tremendous cost savings on a per-foot basis and the elimination of clips and buckles. Safety improves dramatically as you remove sharp steel strapping (just one injury related to steel strapping justifies the switch). Productivity can increase threefold if switching from two-piece tools like the PN2 RCNS or by 33% from combination tools like the PRRH. The battery-powered tools are lighter, ergonomically balanced, and significantly reduce strain on workers. We recommend implementing this 1.25" x .050" PET strapping universally, and we believe you should, too!
