How to Test Saft s (LiSoCl2) Batteries?
I have Vista20P Honeywell system already installed. I recently added one smoke alarm and one CO2 devices and trying to hook these two up on the existing panel. Overall, multiple smoke detectors and CO2 throughout the house are already connected and now I have wires from new smoke detector and CO2 are coming the panel. I also have RRS-MOD i3 series reversing relay synchronization module installed. Transformer is used to power the system which is connected to GFCI outlet. When I just tried to attach power (blank and red wires) from CO2 device to existing wiring from CO2 device coming from upstairs (already wired), circuit breaker trips on GFCI outlet. What am I doing wrong and how do I add these two devices? Both devices have 22 AWG/C wires. Note - I do not have any extra zones left on the panel so was trying to connect to existing smoke detector and CO2 wiring. 1. Do I need to connect new smoke detector and CO2 in serial for power (red/blank)? 2. Do I need resistor as well (one of the other CO2 detector has resister and connected to NO and C)?
